About This Performance

Called “a pianist’s pianist” by The New Yorker, Cecile Licad’s artistry blends daring musical instinct and superb training. She began her piano studies at the age of three in her native Philippines and later trained with Rudolf Serkin and Mieczyslaw Horszowski at Curtis. Following well-received PCMS recitals in 2009 and 2011, Licad returns to Benjamin Franklin Hall with a virtuosic program that promises another “dominating show of pianism from one of today’s keyboard powerhouses” (Boston Musical Intelligencer).
