About This Performance

No less an authority than Jaime Laredo says that Hye-Jin Kim has “the most pure and beautiful sound I have heard on a violin.” Yet the beauty of her playing goes beyond technique, revealing, in the words of Mitsuko Uchida, “a total sincerity and honesty. You hear the beauty of her heart.” Winner of the 2009 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, the Seoul-born violinist will display her rare sensitivity and intellect in a PCMS debut program that showcases her “utterly sublime” facility with Bach (Helsinki Daily).
